International Box Office: The Fate of the Furious Races Past $950 Million
Going into the weekend The Fate of the Furious is already at $965.6 million worldwide and as early as Friday the film might hit $1 billion. The Fate of the Furious scored $158.1 million in 65 countries last weekend, down from its all-time record breaking $437.2 million opening. Including Wednesday the film is up to $794.2 million internationally and $965.6 million worldwide. That means as early as Friday, but most likely on Saturday, The Fate of the Furious will become the 30th movie to ever gross more than $1 billion. Unsurprisingly the film’s top international market is China, already at $340.5 million after 14 days. Back in 2015 Furious 7 made $390.9 million over there, a number the new one should ultimately surpass before it leaves the country.
