Jeff Garlin on His First Comedy Inspiration and New Netflix Movie Handsome

ABC’s The Goldbergs star Jeff Garlin uses his acting, writing, producing and directing talents in the mystery movie Handsome , now streaming on Netflix. Garlin plays a bumbling homicide detective who is sharper than people think. The Chicago-born comic, 54, will also return to his role as Larry David‘s manager on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm later this year. What sparked the idea for Handsome? It started with talking to the head of Netflix about how much I loved Columbo. We also talked about doing a stand-up special in a unique way. Wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista, who is currently featuring in Guardians of the Galaxy series, says in the coming years he will evolve more as an actor, thanks to his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy films.  "They are actual actor roles...That is some of the stuff that I fought really hard for and they are the doors that 'Guardians...' opened for me. They showed my range as an actor and not just a musclehead," Bautista said during an interview. "I fought hard not to get typecast and these are the doors that are opening for me. India's 'Baahubali 2' set to compete Hollywood movies

Dozens of animators work into the night in India's southern city of Hyderabad, fuelled by caffeine and huddled over computer screens in a darkened studio to put the finishing touches on India's biggest and most ambitious film. The makers of ' Baahubali 2 ' hope its top-notch visual effects will wean Indian audiences from Hollywood blockbusters, enticing them with the magical kingdoms, rampaging armies and towering palaces of a home grown fantasy epic. "If art was easy, everybody would do it," said Pete Draper, co-founder of Makuta VFX, which is stitching the film's live-action scenes together with computer-generated imagery. "Every single shot has its own challenges. Working hours right now are crazy. We are finishing daily at 4am."
